Registration Policies

.EFSAC PHYLOSOPHY
We are sincerely planning on having your child acquire some degree of French fluency . We want to set your child up for success in French by asking you and your child to carefully consider whether or not you can make that commitment to plan on attending class regularly for the entire school year. Our goal at EFSAC is to provide a community in which all students and parents—native, non-native and non-French speakers—can benefit from a French speaking environment. As every student has different ability of learning a language, we cannot guarantee the result of your child fluency in French.

EFSAC admits students of any race, color, gender, religion, sexual identity, and national or ethnic origin to all rights, privileges, programs and activities generally accorded or made available to students at the school. EFSAC does not discriminate on the basis or race, color, gender, religion, sexual identity, and national or ethnic origin in administration of its educational policies, employment practices, admission policies or other administered programs.

  • PARENTS VISIT

While we welcome parents into the classroom for short periods of observation, we ask for your understanding that classes are by necessity not set up for parent participation. We seek to create an immersion learning experience with only French language being spoken in the classroom. Please also be aware your presence may be a distraction to the students, especially your own child, so you may not be able to see the typical behavior or teaching that would go on in a normal class. If you would like to visit the classroom, we ask you that follow your school's standard process for school visitors, usually signing in at the office. Please arrive early to the classroom in order to introduce yourself to the teacher before class starts.
. There are many other ways that you as a parent can encourage your student in their study of French. Ask your child to read to you any handouts or reading materials they received from class. Have them teach you any songs they learned. Checkout French reading materials from the library. Turn on the French language audio track the next time your child watches his or her favorite DVD. Hearing French in different situations outside the classroom will reinforce the lessons your child is learning and will help him or her understand that learning a foreign language is important to you. Most and foremost, if French is your mother tongue, speak French to your child.
